In the book Raiders Night, by Robert Lipsyte, Matt, a seinor football player and his buddies from the team are into steriods. They have been for a few years. He has everything lined up for him and is a great football star. When Chris comes to town from another school and tries to take away the starting tight end spot from another captain things get rough. At raiders camp Chris gets hurt and ends up making it very hard for the team and the "back pack" to stick together. When you start getting into the book and really start thinking it throws a big right hook at you and you are left speechless. I give this book a 7 or 8 out of 10 because it has some very interesting parts in it. There are some down sides to the book but you will have to read to find them out.
