Band of Brothers

The book Band of Brothers, by Stephen E. Ambrose shows the heart and determination of the men of Easy Company. The book starts off with the men many of which have just turned 18, at Camp Taccoa. The camp is a jump school, many of the mens reason for joining the airborne troops is because that it is the best of the best. The group meets Herbert M. Sobel or captain sobel. But you also meet Dick Winters among many others. The book shows the hard ships that the men had to face under Captain Sobel. The company is the best in the Army they are the best in shape and the meanest fighters. The phrase high ho silver is something that the men grow accustom too. When the group graduates from jump school and gets there silver wings, it really means one thing that this group is getting put into the war soon. With WWII in full swing and Hitler beating down on the allies plus having the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor, the group gets to find out where they go to if the train takes them north east to New York there going to Europe if they go south then there going to fight Japan. When the train heads to the north the men start saying hello Hitler here we come. Easy Company in the 101st division are the best of the best and in reading the book you will find that out from the jump on D-Day all the way to being in the battle of the buldge  to even going up the mountain to Hitlers eagles nest. This book is the hardest book that I have ever read and I'm not saying that lightly the men go through some very hard things and Stephen E Ambrose knows how to write a very good book this is the only book I think that I'm going to give a 10/10 for. The way that this book makes me really think is amazing. I wouldn't recommend this book to people that don't like to read challenging books because this book is very difficult but on that same note for people that love books on WWII or even war books this is the book to read.

In the book one good punch, by Rich Wallace. Teenager Michael K errigan is track captian and has a good life a good family in the small town of scranton. when the school goes on the anti drug spree they are preforming drug sniffs with dogs and when Mike is told that he has weed in his locker things go up down and backwards in his life he goes from the top of the charts to the worst person in school. And if thats not enough for a person to go through he also has to deal with shelly who is his best friend and he has to make up if there will be more then a good friendship. this book was one of my faster reads that I ahve done all year I read the book in about 5 hours and it ws a very good book with alot of real talk and meansing. I would rate this book on a scale of one to ten, more then less a 7 becasue it was so short I blew through the book and as good as it ws it was too short and left to much up in the air in the end.

street pharm

In the book Street Pharm by Allison van Diepen, Ty Johnson a local drug dealer in the streets of New York finds life to be very easy. His father built an empire and then got locked up, leaving it to Ty to run. With that Ty then has to lie to his mother and protect his turf by whatever means necessary. If Ty thinks that it is going to be a walk in the park, he is wrong because now a new threat comes in by the name of Darkman. Will Ty be able to keep the family buissness a float or will he watch it all burn to dust?  Read the book to find out. I liked this book because I feel that Allison van Diepen writes about the things that really intrest teens and that most teens can relate to. I would give this book a 9 out of 10 because of the fact that it wasn't as put together as I thought it could be, but it was a very good read. There are things in this book that will  make people love it but there are also things that will make people hate it. If you enjoy books that have drama in them and are also books that you never want to put down I would highly recommend this book to you.
