Tyrell

The Book Tyrell by Coe Booth is about a young boy named Tyrell. He grew up in the projects and at the age 15 he finds his little brother, his mom and himself bouncing from shelter home to shelter home while dad is in jail. The only thing he has left is his amazing girlfriend novisha who means everything to him. Tyrells mom cant do anything right and she doesnt know how to take care of her own family, so she leaves it up to tyrell to take of them and get them out of the nastiest hotel shelter in bronx. While in there he meets a girl named jasmine and Tyrell cant keep his eyes of her. Shes the hottest thing hes ever seen and he is more than willing to put his relationship on the line for this girl. As time goes on his mom releys more and more on him and he comes up with the idea to throw a huge party like his dad used to always to do make money. As he begins to plan his party he slowly realizes its gonna be harder than he thought and he is gonna spend a lot of money that he doesnt even have yet. Worst part is he has his hotel girl jasmine coming to his party to dance and he his real girl novisha decides to show up. Will the party be everything he wanted or will it end badly. What girl will he end up with and will he make enough money to support his family? I thought it was a really good book and it had a lot of detail and gave me a clear image of what i was reading. I would deffinetly recomend this book to other people. I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10.

Monster

Monster is a fast paced and very suspensful book by Walter Dean Myers that fills you with questions and makes you think everything about whats going on. It all starts out with Steve Harmon, a 16 year old that was convicted of shooting Mr. Nesbitt, a Gas station manager that was held up by robbers. He sits inside his dark depressing cage of a cell waiting for court to ruin his life. But he has a chance to get out with his lawyer Kathy O'Brien and his family which gives him faith throughout the book. Now he has to wait and try too keep himself together hopeing that the jury will choose his side.
This book is a great book that has nail-biting suspense and makes you read through the whole book right away making it a fast fast read. so I give this book a 7 out of 10 only because the author didnt really make feel like reality and it was more suitible for teens which kinda brought down the book for me. But it is a great book for people that are fans of suspensful books.

in the book i am the messenger by Markus Zusak we have a 19 year old teen named Ed who has an average life that he shares with his three best friends audry marv and richie he also has to deal with his other who is a very heavy drinker. after the loss of his father Ed took in his fathers dog the door man. he makes a stop at the bank with his friends when suddenly the bank is being robed as the robber is leaving ed picks up his gun and shots at the robber making him semi famous. when all the fame stops comming in ed is back to his regular self or so he thinks when he gets a playing card in the mail with names on it he trys to figure out what to do the book takes many twists at this point and ed is left alone to figure out how to deal with the misterious cards he gets in the mail. this book has jsut about everything a person would like in a book it has dramtic fighting sences and also has the love that one person would find in a less dramitc book i give this book a very high 8/10 and thats only because in the end he dosent seem like he knows how to end the book but besides that fact Markus Zusak uses any great things in this book to make it a book you knew want to put down. I wish that this book would use more passion in it because it seems like when he was writing the book it just kind of happened he didnt try to make the book amazing he was ok with good.
