Street Pharm

Tyrone Johnson inherited his Father, Orlando Johnson's business at the age of 16 when his Father goes to prison. Ty thinks he's the king of the streets in Brooklyn but starts to doubt himself when people try to bring him down. He learns survival and how to be richer, tougher, and smarter on the streets. Through the story he meets this girl, Alyse at school and starts to have a relationship with her but can't risk her getting hurt. School was never his thing and never liked it until he met Alyse, but figures out that he can't be in school and running the streets at the same time, after he gets shot. Tyrone trys to keep the family's business on top while trying to handle regular teen conflicts. In this struggle he fails to keep his good friend and partner, Sonny from getting killed and his friend, Monfrey from getting addicted to crack. After all this he realizes that drugs and money aren't everything in life and has to let down his Father after losing everything; his Mom, Alyse, Sonny, and everyone he cared about getting killed or hurt. Ty knows that leaving this business will leave his Father with nothing in the end when he gets out of prison. With that being said, I thought it was a good book and an easy read. Here is another review done by MadTales.
