Schooled by Gordon Kormon

In Schooled, a young boy named Cap grew up on a farm with his grandmother rain. Walking into this house would be like traveling back through time to the sixties. They lived with out many things people use in modern day life. Early on in the story, Cap's grandmother falls out of a plum tree in their yard and breaks her hip. Cap was then sent away to live with an old friend of rains while she recovered from her injury. Decked out in tie die and rugged sandles, cap definately stands out from people in normal society. He gets sent to a city where he is to attend public school for the first time. When he arrives, he is amazed by all the things that he has never seen before, like as simple as a tv. On Cap's first day of school everyone stares at him and he soon becomes the new target for bullying in the school. At Claverage middle school, where he is attending, the yearly prank is to elect the biggest 'geek' in school as class president. This is done for the sole purpose of entertainment, just so the kids can pick on him even worse. But slowely throughout the year, Cap's kindness and helping personality win him more and more friends as the story goes on. By the end of the book, Cap has the whole school behind his back.

Sounds like a great book, Jordan. I felt sad at first, but sounds like it has a happy ending. Great job!
