By the Time You Read This I'll Be Dead

In the book By the time you read this, I'll be dead by Julie Anne Peters, Daelyn Rice is determined to successfully remove herself from existance. Her parents have sent her to a catholic all girls school since her failed previous attempt, but she doesnt seem to fit in so well with a neckbrace, she is known as the 'mute freak' who can't speak at all. She tells about her traumatic history of abuse, torture, and depression, she allows you into her mind to see her experiences and feel her feelings. With the help of Through the Light she counts down the days until her death, her success and freedom. It all begins with 23 days, 23 long, eventful, dragging days for Daelyn. She wants nothing to do with anyone, or anything, but when 18 year old Santana pushes his way into her life, and refuses to leave no matter how stubborn she gets, she has no choice. Throughout the book you feel the terrible, depressing feelings that many people who have endured torture feel everyday, you get a taste for what it feels like to be bullied and made fun of.
