Band of Brothers
The book Band of Brothers, by Stephen E. Ambrose shows the heart and determination of the men of Easy Company. The book starts off with the men many of which have just turned 18, at Camp Taccoa. The camp is a jump school, many of the mens reason for joining the airborne troops is because that it is the best of the best. The group meets Herbert M. Sobel or captain sobel. But you also meet Dick Winters among many others. The book shows the hard ships that the men had to face under Captain Sobel. The company is the best in the Army they are the best in shape and the meanest fighters. The phrase high ho silver is something that the men grow accustom too. When the group graduates from jump school and gets there silver wings, it really means one thing that this group is getting put into the war soon. With WWII in full swing and Hitler beating down on the allies plus having the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor, the group gets to find out where they go to if the train takes them north east to New York there going to Europe if they go south then there going to fight Japan. When the train heads to the north the men start saying hello Hitler here we come. Easy Company in the 101st division are the best of the best and in reading the book you will find that out from the jump on D-Day all the way to being in the battle of the buldge to even going up the mountain to Hitlers eagles nest. This book is the hardest book that I have ever read and I'm not saying that lightly the men go through some very hard things and Stephen E Ambrose knows how to write a very good book this is the only book I think that I'm going to give a 10/10 for. The way that this book makes me really think is amazing. I wouldn't recommend this book to people that don't like to read challenging books because this book is very difficult but on that same note for people that love books on WWII or even war books this is the book to read.

I would rate this book on a scale of one to ten, more then less a 7 becasue it was so short I blew through the book and as good as it ws it was too short and left to much up in the air in the end.

street pharm
In the book Street Pharm by Allison van Diepen, Ty Johnson a local drug dealer in the streets of New York finds life to be very easy. His father built an empire and then got locked up, leaving it to Ty to run. With that Ty then has to lie to his mother and protect his turf by whatever means necessary. If Ty thinks that it is going to be a walk in the park, he is wrong because now a new threat comes in by the name of Darkman. Will Ty be able to keep the family buissness a float or will he watch it all burn to dust? Read the book to find out. I liked this book because I feel that Allison van Diepen writes about the things that really intrest teens and that most teens can relate to. I would give this book a 9 out of 10 because of the fact that it wasn't as put together as I thought it could be, but it was a very good read. There are things in this book that will make people love it but there are also things that will make people hate it. If you enjoy books that have drama in them and are also books that you never want to put down I would highly recommend this book to you.

Cut

Cut is a book written by Patrcia McCormick who is also the author of other books that have what i call the same type of writting but about different things. It is about a girl named Callie, that has been cutting herself for sometime now. The cause of doing this has lead to her being admitted to a mental institution called sea pines. She doesnt talk during the first month or so at all a girl there gave her a nickname s.t. for silent treatment, she also called sea pines; sick minds. She does continue to cut for sum time through out the book even while she is in the institution. The girls sat by the same disordered people as them kind of like little groups which were the food issue girls which are the biggest mojority there (anorexic, and way over eating). The next dissordered group was the "druggies" or wat they call substance-abuse issues, then girls like Callie who are called assorted psychos. But she does get better once she starts talking and talking about her brother sam and how hes always sick and shes to blame for one time he had an attack. which causes her mom to be super protective and over clean and her dad is always at work or out and now hes really working to pay for her treatment. Once she realizes that not everyone hates her and the things she was blaming herself for and has an amazing talk with her dad she starts really working at getting better.

snitch

it is a book by Norah McClintock and it is about a boy who just got out of a boy group home, and is now living with his brother his brothers wife and their son. he has to go through an anger management course and gets to chose between two types. one is a group of kids with similar anger issues and they talk about their problems and such things, the other is in the beggining of the group they talk about their day and then later they train dogs. these dogs were abused dogs or strays from the animal shelter well the ones that couldnt get adopted by anyone because they are to out of control and not tamed. but there are two other guys he has problems with one is a guy that basicly put him there as he thinks he sniitched on him for when they were purse snatching. there was thousands of dallors in the purse and the other guy couldnt take the guilt so he went to the police about it. and then the other guy is one that he just wants to beat up because hes always antaganizing him, but theres this girl that also help him stay calm and centered. itwas definitly a short read but a good read i give it a 4 out of 5 and would reccomend it to very many people.

Impulse

Have you ever been so depressed, to the point where you just don't know what to do any more? Well in the book Impulse by Ellen Hopkins, it really showed me some of the real life situations that can happen to young kids, and young adults. Impules is about 3 kids, Venessa, Tony, and Conner, and they are being held in a mental institution for attempting to commit suicide. However it is not just a week or two like you would think, they are being held any where from a couple of months to a couple of years. This book has probally been one of the best books that i have ever read, because i never wanted to put that book down.

Wolves of the Calla The Dark Tower V

It starts out with the prologue introducing Tian a farmer in the Calla working on the fields with his sister Tia and they get a message from Andy the message robot (and many other functions) that the wolves are coming to the Calla from Thunderclap in thirty days to come and take or be given a child that has a twin which both causes Tian and Tia fear and frustration with Andy and the Calla. This causes a town meeting with the Manni and everyone of the Calla and they try to find others solutions to stop the wolves from taking there children. Father Callahan one of the calla folk says there is a way to stop the wolves and that is gunslingers. the calla folk all start out with disagreement but after a while in the meeting and finding out what to do they figure that gunslingers are the only way to fight off the wolves.
As this is going on Roland and his ka-tet, Eddie, Jake, Susannah and Oy are heading toward the Calla unexpectedly hoping there on one of the trails of the beams to the tower. but as there on there trail to the calla they fall into a todash which is a dream that comes into reality in your mind and they realize that the rose is possibly in the real world and they try to find out if they can reach the rose in the todash.
This is an extremely long book that took forever to finish but a really good book filled with adventure, drama and action which was the thing that kept me going throughout this long book.
I give this book a 10 out of 10 because of its way of keeping me glued into this book and making me keep going throughout the series.

Street Pham

Street Pharm, by Allison Van Diepen, is a very good book. It is about a boy named Ty who takes over his dads drug dealing business when he was 13. The book is about him and everything he runs into and goes through. You basically go along with his everyday life for 5 years. He runs into problems with the cops, deals with other dealers trying to take over his territory and they shoot him in a drive by. He survives and takes out the other dealer, he doesn't really date girls because he has to stay on top of his game. Then he meets a girl named Alysse, she's very against drugs, violence and just about everything he does. So he hides it from her, but eventually he tells her because he doesn't want to drag her into it. From there he deals with his best friend and partner getting shot. This book is filled with action and keeps you interested the whole way through.

Street Pharm

Street Pharm is a a book that pulls you in with a hook, the author Allison van Diepen is a high school teacher. She had spent around three and a half years at one of brooklyns most dangerous high schools. It basicly is about a young adult Ty age seventeen that inherited his fathers business, but this was no ordinary one or legal for a matter of fact. He has been brought into the drug game he was at a young age and he's not just the little man. He refers to himself as king of the streets, and his partner who was really his fathers untill he went to jail. His name is Sonny and there the main people in this drug "biz" even though his mom thinks completly different. His mom thinks that he's nothing like his father that he's not a "gangbanger" waling around the streets doing nothing but trouble. He has had her convinced through so many lies and he seems to have a talent for it. But his mom starts to suspect something when he pretends to be someone he's not to the alternative school he is supposed to be enrolled in, because he couldnt keep up with the regular school. Although his mom doesnt even know that he's supposed to go to an alternative school until she gets the call from them. So his mom suspects things about him but he still has her eating it up. He makes large stack's of cash and probably the one good thing is he doesnt do the drugs. But all starts to go bad when his father old compitition comes around his town and all of these things has been changing the way he looks at what he's doing. It's definitly a most intriguing read and will really tell how expeiriences even if there bad and they are mistakes. they can prove and show that when you learn from them it not only gives makes you a stronger person but starting to do the right thing.

Tyrells mom cant do anything right and she doesnt know how to take care of her own family, so she leaves it up to tyrell to take of them and get them out of the nastiest hotel shelter in bronx. While in there he meets a girl named jasmine and Tyrell cant keep his eyes of her. Shes the hottest thing hes ever seen and he is more than willing to put his relationship on the line for this girl. As time goes on his mom releys more and more on him and he comes up with the idea to throw a huge party like his dad used to always to do make money. Worst part is he has his hotel girl jasmine coming to his party to dance and he his real girl novisha decides to show up. Will the party be everything he wanted or will it end badly. What girl will he end up with and will he make enough money to support his family? I thought it was a really good book and it had a lot of detail and gave me a clear image of what i was reading. I would deffinetly recomend this book to other people. I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10.

Monster

Monster is a fast paced and very suspensful book by Walter Dean Myers that fills you with questions and makes you think everything about whats going on. It all starts out with Steve Harmon, a 16 year old that was convicted of shooting Mr. Nesbitt, a Gas station manager that was held up by robbers. He sits inside his dark depressing cage of a cell waiting for court to ruin his life. But he has a chance to get out with his lawyer Kathy O'Brien and his family which gives him faith throughout the book. Now he has to wait and try too keep himself together hopeing that the jury will choose his side.
This book is a great book that has nail-biting suspense and makes you read through the whole book right away making it a fast fast read. so I give this book a 7 out of 10 only because the author didnt really make feel like reality and it was more suitible for teens which kinda brought down the book for me. But it is a great book for people that are fans of suspensful books.

I wish that this book would use more passion in it because it seems like when he was writing the book it just kind of happened he didnt try to make the book amazing he was ok with good.
